Plants have been used to cure a variety of diseases according to Ayurveda. Herbal medications are easy to acquire and have less side effects. As a result, many people are drawn to herbal medicines. Ocimum kilimandscharicum is one of the few perennial basil varieties. It is a well-known plant in the Indian traditional medical system. Ocimum is a genus in the Labiatae family of plants. In this analysis, an in-vitro model was used to investigate the anti- arthritic properties of an ethanolic, hydroalcoholic extract of Ocimum kilimandscharicum Linn. The study found that at a concentration of 400mg/ml, different concentrations of the extract exhibited substantial anti-arthritic activity in a dose-dependent manner when compared to a standard drug. As a result of the chemical constituents present in the extracts, it is possible that they have a promising future in the treatment of Arthritis. This knowledge would be useful in determining which activities from natural resources are the most potent for clinical production of activities and therapeutics.
